 Exploration of the technical, economical and ecological feasibility of power distribution systems with locally balanced generation and consumption. The study includes characterisation methods for the wind and solar resources as primary energy fluxes. Development of stand-alone low-power supply for two HVAC system manufacturers with completely different applications and environmental conditions, including realisation and testing of a prototype.  Evaluation of a 50 kWp rural photovoltaic electrification project on a remote island in the Philippines and guidance of a sustainable management of the system and future electrification projects. Part of a Belgium-Philippines bilateral agreement conducted by the Belgian Technical Cooperation. Development of the Belgian Solar Energy Industry Quality Charter for Grid-Connected Standard Systems and realisation of the technical screening of candidate files. Contains provisions for good service, technical requirements and a commercial code of conduct.  Realisation of a 61 kWp PV system on the storage hall of DEXIA Insurance Banking, including setting up and controlling guaranteed solar results that commit the supplier to a guaranteed yield in function of the irradiation. Payback time of 10 years using the Flemish green certificate mechanism.  Explanatory study of the performance differences between amorphous and crystalline silicon solar cells. Used to help the Belgian Flemish energy administration to issue recommendations on the implementation of an investment subsidy scheme for building integrated photovoltaics.  Coordination Action of the European Commission to establish a common understanding for future investments and strategies on Organic Photovoltaics. Involves 22 partners from 15 countries. 3E co-ordinates the Expert Working Group on the analysis of socio-economical impact of OSC technology. |
